National Elite Futures Camp

The first annual National Elite Futures Camp was held October 8-9, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada.   This camp brought together the top 44 players from across the country in the 2007, 2008, and 2009 classes. The camp consisted of an NCAA recruiting seminar and an intensive workout followed by a series of games which allowed 48 of the top collegiate coaches across the country and representatives from  USA softball the opportunity to evaluate the country's best young players. The exposure the players received at this first ever National Camp has led to invitations to USA softball National Team events and full scholarship offers from major universities.

The second National Futures Camp was also held  in Las Vegas.  The camp expanded to 64 participants.  Again the camp was a huge success, and set the stage for many player's recruitment at a High Major level.  The third National Futures Camp was just completed this Fall in Southern California.  Over 50 college coaches attended representing 48 major softball programs from across the country.

Next year's camp will be announced in the Spring of 2008.  The camp is open to all softball players in the classes of 2010, 2011 and 2012.  All players interested in this high level camp must be capable of exhibiting extraordinary abilities both as a softball player and as an athlete.  Each application must be accompanied by ASA coach and/or high school coach recomendation.  The camp is invitation-only, and no player will be admitted without the approval of the camp staff.  In the event an opening occurs due to a player's inability to meet their commitment, those players who have applied will be the first to be considered.

Most other sports have camps where the finest young players in the land come together and compete.  The National Futures Camp was softball's first such camp to feature a National scope while limiting the number of players to a small, workable number.  This is a unique opportunity for all involved, and the players will most surely be those same players who are leading their teams to the Women's College World Series and competing for spots on National Teams in the not so distant future.  We hope you will join us for another year of this memorable, history making event.
